What We Treat
Incontinence
At Pelvic Ab Rehab, we treat women and men with stress and urge urinary incontinence, fecal incontinence, as well as urinary incontinence following prostate surgery.
Pregnancy/Postpartum
Expecting mothers often suffer from lower back and/or pelvic pain. In addition to stretching and strengthening our patients’ appropriate muscle groups, we focus on educating our patients on proper posture and body mechanics with childcare activities during and after pregnancy.
Pelvic Pain and Pelvic Floor Dysfunction
Women and men can suffer from chronic pelvic pain. This can interfere with activities, such as sitting, urination and intercourse. We see patients with a diagnosis of interstitial cystitis, dyspareunia and endometriosis. We see men with chronic pelvic pain, which can often mimic symptoms of prostatitis.
Pediatric Incontinence and Constipation
By age 5, if your child is struggling with incontinence, bedwetting or difficulty with bowel movements, we can offer strategies to help caregivers and patients overcome and/or manage these issues.
Post Prostatectomy
We offer pre-surgical education and instruction for men who are undergoing a prostatectomy. We help to retrain the pelvic floor muscles responsible for maintaining bladder control following surgery.
Post Surgical Pain / Adhesions from Post Gender Reassignment Surgery
We use manual techniques to free up soft tissue restrictions following pelvic and/or abdominal surgery that may interfere with movement patterns secondary to pain.
Wellness Programs
We offer pregnancy classes that focus on proper breathing techniques and education for labor and delivery preparation. We assess the pelvic floor and abdominal region following delivery to rule out a diastasis rectus and/or pelvic floor dysfunction.
